Last year I set my reading goal to read 60 books and somehow I managed to double that. This year, I decided to set my goal at 100 books. Hopefully that's not too ambitious but we'll see. I'm also considering joining the PopSugar challenge again. I did it last year but I never incorporated it into my blog, so that might be something I do this year. Anywho, on to the books I read this month! Click the title if you would like to read my full reviews.

Blurb (Written by Terri): I honestly feel that these books are best to go into without knowing anything at all. I'm assuming that if you're reading this review, you've either already read it, or you haven't read the first one (I could be wrong but that's okay). So I don't want to include the blurb. Basically, the books are romance suspense. Two teenagers who have been best friends since they were young, 'wake up' and they have no idea who they are, where they are or what has happened to them. Their only problem is, they only have 48 hours until it happens again. Does that not sound intriguing??
Review: By now you have probably seen or heard everyone's reviews for part three in this "series". I read the first book last year and decided to wait until the 3rd part was released before I continued and I am so glad that I did. I don't think that the endings of these books are necessarily cliffhangers, but it stops in a place where the story is at a peak, so it's a little awkward if you stopped there.
Anyway, I did enjoy this addition to the series however its definitley no where near as good as the first one. I'm not sure if that is because I forgot everything that happened in the first book, or if it was a bit of a dud. My main issue with Part 2 was the fact that throughout the whole book, nothing really happens. You go into it wanting to get some answers from the first book, but honestly it wasn't long enough and you don't learn anything new. In the last 5 pages you finally get something, but it definitely wasn't a big shocker that blew my mind.
I also feel that as a 'romance' book, there wasn't much romance at all. And there definitely wasn't a lot of time with the two characters together. I think that it would have been much better if the 'big thing' happened earlier in the book, because for a short book there were definitely parts which were a bit boring, with not a lot going on apart from the character driving around different places..
The story was still very engaging, and it kept me reading. These books are really quick reads so if it's something you're interested in, give it a go. I feel like this second installment would be more enjoyable if it were read straight after reading the first one. If you can, read all three in one go (now that the third is out).
Would I recommend? Yes

I think this year I'm going to try and do top 5 Wednesday every week (or whenever I like the topic). Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainie over at Ginger Reads Lainey. We can just ignore the fact that it's Saturday and not Wednesday.
This week's topic is books that are pretty on the outside, but not so much on the inside. I couldn't narrow it down to just five so I'm technically cheating but #YOLO! It's only by one.
1. Paper Hearts by Claire Contreas
I really loved this cover. I normally don't like covers where you can see the characters faces but I just felt like this one was done really well. but then I read the story and I really did not like it. I didn't particularly like the characters, I felt like the romance fell flat and it was so unrealistic. Just no.
2. Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Ok, so everyone and their damn dog was talking about how fantastic this book was, months before it even came out! So I figured it must be good, you know because the cover is amazing and everyone loves it. But then I read it, and my god I just did not like it at all. I mean, it was alright and I might have enjoyed it if there wasn't so much hype, but yeah no.
3. Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino
Not my favourite cover out of these five, but I do quite like it. I didn't necessarily read this book based on the cover alone, but it helped. But the book definitely was not as good. I think the story was alright, but the relationship just didn't seem as swoon worthy as a lot of people were saying.
4. How to Say I Love You Out Loud by Karoe Cozzo
I got this book through Netgalley and I pretty much chose it because of the cover. Although the plot sounded really good too. I didn't like the main character and how she treated her own family. It also wasn't as romance based as I was expecting, and what romance there was didn't blow me away. I still like the cover.
5. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Letterman
This book was one that I literally only read because of the cover. I love it. I still love the cover, but the book inside is just boring. I've seen a lot of people say they didn't enjoy this book so I'm not alone! The main characters were just so arrogant and I couldn't stand it. it's like they didn't have any personality to them (from what I remember).
