I felt the need to post something, and since I'm not really reading at the moment I thought I'd do the Intimidating TBR TAG that has been going around recently. I'm not sure who created this, but it definitely wasn't me. Also, I'm not posting the pictures along with the books like I usually do because I don't really have time (I also couldn't really be bothered if I'm honest) #soznotsoz. Anywho, onwards and upwards! (I've never said that before in my life. Fun fact!).
1. What book have you been unable to finish? Turn My Head by Patricia Holden. I'm sorry but it was just bad... I couldn't do it. The writing was fine, but the characters were just so...annoying. The main guy was so clingy and it was way too insta-lovey for me. Also the girl moved in to this house with 7 brothers or something ridiculous like that, as a in-house assistant type person and she was there literally a day and they were calling her their new sister?? Just no. On the plus side, it was a free eBook so I didn't waste any money on it :P
What book have you yet to read because...
I just haven't had time: One With You by Sylvia Day. This is one of my most anticipated releases of 2016, and I read one chapter but I've been absolutely swamped with assignments and uni stuff and any spare time I do have, I don't want to spend reading, so it's still sitting on my shelf untouched!.
It's the sequel: Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray. It's kind of in the same boat as the last one, I want to read it, but I don't really have time. But also I really liked the first one so I'm a bit hesitant about reading this one. I read the first chapter and I liked it but it's definitely going in a different direction so it's kind of putting me off.
It's brand new: I have quite a few books that I've received recently, one of them being The Things I Didn't Say by Kylie Fornasier, and I haven't read this yet because 1. I don't have time and 2. I literally got it yesterday. Thank you Penguin!
You read a book by the same author and just didn't enjoy it: I don't have one for this... If I didn't like a book by an author I probably wouldn't buy another book by them unless I really wanted to read it.
You're just not in the mood for it: What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. I really liked The Husbands Secret by this author, but at the moment adult fiction is the last thing I feel like reading. Especially since it's like a psychological type one and I just don't feel like it.
It's humongous! Definitely After We Fell by Anna Todd. Not only is it massive but I just know it's going to be Tessa and Hardin arguing and making up, and arguing back and forth throughout the whole thing an I just don't want to put myself through that again. The only reason it's still on my TBR is because my sister keeps raving about it :P
Because it was a cover buy and turned out to have shit reviews: Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. I actually bought this after I saw all the bad reviews, but it was $1 so I got it anyway. I originally wanted to read it because everyone raved about it, but then I started to see some negative reviews of people comparing to to the After series by Anna Todd and I mentioned before how annoying their relationship was and I just don't think I want to read about another abusive type relationship. So no thanks.
Because it is intimidating: All the Light We Cannot See by Anothny Doerr. There's so many reasons this book intimidates me so i shall list them: it's big it's historical fiction, it's not my usual genre, it's set in WWII, it's about a blind girl... in WWII, it's big, it's an award winner meaning heaps of people liked it meaning if I don't I'll get abused or something.. that's about it.
Who do you tag? If you're reading this and you want to do it, go for it!
