I’ve been so slack with posting lately, I would say sorry but I don’t think I’d be apologising to anyone. But on the off chance someone is reading this, I’ve bene really busy with uni work, because for some reason all of my lecturers teamed up and decided to set the due dates of my assignments within the same week. Cruel, cruel people.
Anyway, I’m back with an exciting post all about rating books. I’ve never really been that good with rating books, and it really bugs me. I try to rate books on my original expectation of the book, the plot, characters and the writing style. But I feel like I’m so inconsistent with my ratings, so I have decided to come up with my own rating scale. I know a lot of people rate from 1-5 but, I feel like that’s too restricting, so my scale is from 1-10. So without further ado, introducing… “Le Book Rating Scale” (see what I did there?)
1. Waste of time. Don’t even bother.
2. I find it hard to believe anyone actually LIKED this book.
4. My expectations>This book
5. Um… Not for me
6. I don’t regret reading this but…ugh
7. Not bad, but I wouldn’t re-read it
8. GOOD BOOK ALERT
9. Woah, this book is so close to perfection
10. HOLY HOT DAMN CALL THE PO-LICE AND THE FIREMAN. This book is perfection.
I’m really glad I decided to create this rating scale since I never know what to rate books. Let me know what you think, would you use this system? How do you rate books?
