Now, I'm not really into the whole Pokemon Go craze like everyone else is, but if I see a Pokemon I'll catch it, cha feel?? But anyway I've seen a few people do this tag, so I thought I'd jump on the wagon too :P You can check out the original tag and creator of the images used here. I'm leaving a couple of the questions out, only because I've answered them in a recent tag :)
Twilight. Before Twilight I used to say I didn't like books and that reading was boring. I actually remember saying that to a friend of mine, which is so crazy because it's like the exact opposite now! I think it would be hilarious if my 2008 self could see me now, running a book blog! LOL her mind would be blown!
I hate to repeat answers but I'm going to go with Twilight again. It's definitely not a classic, but it kind of is in a way. It's definitely iconic, whether that be because people hate it or because they love it. Not going to lie, if I reread it now I don't think I'd love it anywhere near as much as I did when I was in high school. Which is exactly why I won't reread it. So... yes Twilight is my Pikachu.
I have literally sat here for 10 minutes trying to think of an answer for this damn question but it is so hard!! Everything I go to choose isn't really relevant anymore as it's no longer everywhere. OMG I just thought of a good one! Harry Potter!!! Everyone and their goddamn dog RAVE about this book. But I just don't think I would enjoy it as a 21 year old who isn't even into fantasy. And also I am just sick of hearing about Harry freaking Potter. #sorrynotsorry
P.S. How is Zubat everywhere?? I swear I've seen it like 4 times and that's it.
Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven reminds me so damn much of After by Anna Todd it isn't even funny. BUT the only difference is that I loved Bad Romeo, and I really really did not love After. They are both about on again off again relationships with the "bad boy type", except Bad Romeo is way more realistic and less controlling/abusive than After.
Kept me up because I was crying? scared? still reading because it was so long?? I don't know what this question is asking of me. I'll assume it kept me up reading because it was so good I couldn't put it down and for that, I shall go with The Selection series by Kiera Cass. I loved these books so much. For fantasy lovers who read them, they're just pure fluff. But for me, who loves the fluff, they were great!
Any of Colleen Hoover's books. Literally, any of them. They're not short by any means and I pretty much read all of them within a day. I recently read It Ends With Us in 5 hours (it was amazing btw), and it is her longest book yet. CoHo just has a way of drawing you into the story that time literally flies when you read her books.
Ok so this doesn't really apply to me because I can't think of any debut authors off the top of my head, let alone ones that I am excited for? I don't see how you can be excited for a debut author because... I don't know it just doesn't make sense to me. So I've spent the last half an hour looking through debut authors and can't say I'm excited about any of them. There were a few books that I would like to read, but I'm not excited so I'm not answering. Can you tell I am in a bad mood?
I feel like any book series that are over-hyped, are books that I don't really want to read anyway. But I've heard good things about Elle Kennedy and Lauren Blakely (authors like that) who I really want to read more from :)
Beautiful by Christina Lauren!! I started this series back in 2013 with Beautiful Player (out of order I know) and I fell in love with all of the characters. So far every single book I've read in this series seems to get better and better, so even though I'm really sad that the series will be over, I'm really excited to finally get to read it! :)
Charade by Nyrae Dawn was a huge surprise for me. I had never heard of the author when I read it, and me being the cover judger that I am, I didn't really expect much from this book based on the cover. But Oh My God I loved this book! I loved the second book, Facade, even more but still, this book was amazing. 10/10 recommend if you like New Adult!
Thanks for reading! Hopefully I'll be a bit more active on Le Blog now that prac is over and uni is winding down, but we shall see! Tally ho!
