Hello!! ‘Tis I,Terri back with another review. How exciting, please hold the applause until the end. I haven’t posted in a while since I’ve been so busy, but since I’ve now got quite a few new subscribers I thought I should post something. So hi to all of you new subscribers! (and the old ones too :P). I’m thinking I’m going to try and post once a week, but don’t hold me to that.
This is a book I read last year, but I didn’t have my book blog then so I didn’t review it on here, however I absolutely loved it. I had never read anything like it, and I still haven’t. A Little Something Different is exactly what it sounds like… a little something different. It is a love story about Lea and Gabe, but it is told from everyone’s perspective except for Lea and Gabe. And by everyone I mean from the bus driver, to a squirrel and a park bench?? That was interesting.
It was such an adorable little book, and it was so funny. Even though I read it back in December, I can specifically remember reading it. I think I got about ¾ of the way through and dinner was ready (it was roast chicken). There wasn’t really a point to mentioning that except for the fact that every time I look at this book I think of gravy.
Aside from the gravy, this book was amazingly light and cute read. At first when I thought about all the different view-points I wasn't sure I would like it, but the different perspectives and the way Sandy Hall has written it, just captivates you and ugh it’s so cute!! When I read a romance novel, I always wonder what other people think of the characters and this is exactly what it is. I also love the fact that the book is in first person. Often when a book shows a different perspective of a main character, it's told in third person, so I really like that this book even the squirrel (who I loved) and the park bench was completely told in first person. It just makes you feel more involved in their relationship and like you are actually there with them rather than reading a story about them.
I highly recommend you read this. Really. 6 months later and I’m still smiling about this book, it was that good. The only thing I kind of wish for was maybe a part from their point of view just to wrap things up. or, you know, a sequel?
Sandy Hall is such an amazing writer I need more books by her. I just found out she has written another book which is going to be published in October this year! Yes please!!

Favourite Quote: “They sit there in the window of the coffee shop for almost an hour, not talking much, but looking at each other over the tops of their books, flirting somehow even without words. It would be gross if it weren't adorable.”
Recommended for: Anyone who likes adorable romance books. If romance isn't your thing, you probably won't like this much.
