One of my favourite YouTuber's mentioned how much she loved this series, so I decided I would pick it up the other day and just…wow. I actually finished this book a few days ago and have since read the second and started the third one, so I guess that can give you a bit of an idea of how I felt about Bared to You.
I have seen it get compared a lot to Fifty Shades of Grey and I honestly cannot see the comparison. Yes, Gideon (btw hate that name) has some domineering factors about him, but it is absolutely NOTHING like Fifty Shades, so if that is what may be turning you off reading this book, then get that thought out of your head. Gideon is such a likeable character, he is moody and temperamental (aren't all men?), but he can be funny, he is playful and caring, sometimes a bit over protective but NOTHING like I have read in some other books.
I also really like Eva, yes she is jealous and insecure, but she actually says that, literally says that to Gideon, which I really loved about her. She’s not afraid to tell it like it is, and I also really like that she is independent yet she isn't ashamed to rely on Gideon.
Now for the plot line, I currently have the plot for the 2nd and 3rd books stuck in my head and I can’t really seem to remember what happened, but I do remember that it was built very nicely, it didn't drag on too much and was pretty fast paced. Once I actually started reading it, I read the book in one sitting (in between assignments of course). Yes, there is a LOT of sex in this book, so if that’s not your thing then this book most definitely is not for you. BUT there is also a really good plot line behind the sex, which is always good to have in books like these.
This book definitely has a dark theme to it, I can’t really explain it but you know when you read a book and you imagine it in your head as colourful with white backgrounds with pastel furniture? No? Just me? Well with this book I just picture everything to be very dark. Which I think Sylvia Day has done an amazing job of representing that.
Cover: 9/10 I really like how it isn't pictures of two people in a compromising position, makes it slightly less awkward reading in public (not that I do that anyway)
Format: I started reading it as an eBook and then I found a copy of the book for $1 so I finished it in paperback.

I have nothing else to add about this book. What were your thoughts on this book if you have read it, or if you haven’t, would you consider reading this? I'm really intrigued to know, has my review persuaded you at all, or has it turned you away? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
