I'm posting this review a bit late, and it's not in order of when I read it beause I started this book last Sunday, and finished it on Friday. It's now Sunday the 7th. I Just thought I'd mention that because the date on my reviews always plays up. Anyway, Before I Die was such a good book. From the first page I just knew I would love it and I really did.
The book is about this 16 year old girl Tessa who is dying of cancer, and basically she has a list of things she wants to do before she dies; sex, drugs, shoplifting etc. It seems cliche and like every other book on the market, but it was done incredibly well. And going into the book, it's pretty obvious it's going to be a sad one, I mean it says it in the title and everything, so no shock there really, it was sad bit also nice and even funny at times which was refreshing.
I just finished reading The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants so I can't really remember what happened in Before I Go. But that ending though... THE FEELS! I think I cried the whole of the last 30 pages. It's not what you're thinking made me cry either just saying. I feel like it was a bit far fetched in some ways though, especially the dad going along with the things on the list? It just wasn't believable.
The more I think about it, the more I realise how much I didn't like Tessa. That's probably horrible because she has cancer and everything, but she was annoying and the way she treated everyone was just terrible. Although I think that's what the author intended because by the end of the book, she starts to change. Whoda thunk it? Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone, I'm really glad I finally got around to reading it.
