When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change. Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe. Maybe not.
I have been putting off reading this book for a while now, purely because of the fact that this was the only CoHo book that I had not read, so now that I've read it I don't know what to do with myself. The struggle is real!
I don't know what to say. This book was fantastic, as are all of CoHo's books. Colleen Hoover writes damn good romances and somehow seems to make each and every one of them so unique and thoroughly entertaining. How she manages to get so much goodness crrammed into one tiny 120 paged novella, is beyond me.
About the actual book. I loved it (if you couldn't tell). Warren is such a lovable character, he's very comparable (in my eyes) to Emmett from the Twilight series. In the way that he is just so easy going, funny and has such a good heart. You can tell all of this from the little bit of him you do see in Maybe Someday, but his character honestly shines in Maybe Not. I really wish he had his own book because I would love to read more about him.
I also really liked Bridgette. You don't learn much about her in Maybe Someday, apart from the fact that she's a complete bitch. But you see so much more in this book, and yes she is a complete bitch still, but once you find out why it makes so much sense. Also, I loved how we got to see her develop and how Warren got through to her until her walls finally came down. I would have liked more about their relationship just because I feel like this whole novella was about her being pissy and Warren trying to make her happy, but I think if it were a whole book, you'd be able to see them when they are both happy. Cha feel?
Anyway, not much else I can say about this. But if you haven't read a Colleen Hoover book, what are you doing with your life? If you don't like romance fair enough, but I highly recommend at least giving one of them a try. And her novellas are a good place to start since they're so short. Honestly, read one and try and tell me it's not good. Just try. I dare you.
Would I recommend? Hell YES!
For fans of: Colleen Hoover, romance, books in general
Overall Rating: 4.75 (only because I would have liked to have seen more of their relationship development)
