At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Somedaywill immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.

Everyone that I've seen talking about this book says that Maybe Someday is their favourite CoHo book. So I've been putting off reading it for so damn long because of the hype, but while I was in Queensland (to see Taylor Swift which was amazing by the way) I saw it in a bookshop and I just couldn't pass it up(not that it was cheap or anything. Book store prices are ridiculous!!). So I started reading this book yesterday morning and finished it last night.. and it was fan-flipping-tastic!!
First, I absolutely love how there is a soundtrack to go along with the book. When I first heard about it, i thought it would be a soundtrack of a bunch of songs that set the mood for the tone of the book. But no. The songs are songs that were written for the book. In Maybe Someday Ridge is a musician who is having writer's block. He then gets the help of Sydney to write songs and they end up working together to write the songs. So the songs you hear in the playlist, are the songs they write in the book and it's just so bloody cool! Not the mention the songs are amazing too. I just love this so much and it was such a unique experience. Although, I'm not one that can read with music playing because I get too distracted, so I'd read the section and then play the song and then continue reading. I loved it. Just wow.
On to the actual story. Well. I don't even know how to express my thoughts on this one. Honestly, after reading so many reviews and hearing so many people rave about the book, I'm so surprised I didn't get spoiled for the major thing that happens at the very start of the book. I'm not going to say what it was because I don't want to be one of those spoiler people, but my jaw literally dropped when I found out.
I loved the plot. It seemed like it was the same as a lot of other books, but this was so different to anything I had ever read before. The characters worked really well together and I felt like they were written very well and weren't two dimensional like other characters I've read.
Colleen really knows how to write good romances. I loved the romance in here. I think that she just writes such real characters who have real problems that are so easy to relate to. You can't help but fall in love with her characters. Like, how does she even do it? How can she write so many amazing characters that I love? She's got a gift I tell you.
This CoHo wasn't anywhere near as heartbreaking as the other ones. I thought it was going to be really sad at one stage, but then what I thought was going to happen, didn't happen so it wasn't sad. I loved how it all worked out and it felt very realistic.
I highly recommend that you read this (if you haven't already). And when you do, read it in absolute silence, trust me it will make it that much more realistic. Now I don't know which CoHO is my favourite. I loved November 9, but I'm thinking Maybe Someday has topped that now. The struggle is real.
I've now started reading Hopeless and I pretty much spoiled myself because I started reading Losing Hope before I realised it was the 2nd book. I swear, only I could do something that stupid. Anyway, I stopped reading Losing Hope and started Hopeless and I am really loving it. I actually had to stop reading it to write this review before I get too immersed in it otherwise I would have forgotten everything I wanted to say for this book. I probably have still forgotten heaps, but I'd probably just be repeating what everyone and their bloody mother have already said.
I give this book 4.5/5 stars. It was amazing, but I just didn't get those "5 star read feels" cha feel?
Thanks for reading!
