Let's just start this off by saying this isn't spoiler free - at all. I just feel like talking about it so, feel free to go read the two previous reviews on this series as they are spoiler free.
Ok, so going into this book, I was worried. Everyone who had read it had been saying they were so disappointed about the ending and that it was shit, nothing was answered, etc. So there was that. ALSO, I had just finished reading Part 2, which doesn't really end on a cliffhanger, but it was enough to make me worried what will happen in the next book. So there's my thoughts going into it.
Now, I really liked this instalment. First off, I liked the way that Silas actually rememered what happened, I was so happy. Finally we are getting somewhere with all of this! He remembered everything and I loved that he remembered and she didn't.
"She grabs at a Pepsi and I almost catch myself telling her that I know she prefers Coke"
And I loved that the twist wasn't paranormal or it wasn't to do with blocking out memories.
"What if soul mates exist? And once they come together, they can't fall apart?"
Like, how cool would that actually be? Although a bit freaky to be randomly losing your memory for no reason. I felt like it was explained so well. How they naturally remembered things that weren't forced on them. How he fell in love with her again for the first time which enabled him to remember everything. I don't know I just thought it was incredibly sweet and the definition of a romance story.
"for the rest of my life, I want to be the girl dancing with Silas in the street. because he's crazy. That's why I love him. "
I did think the whole part where he was convincing her to fall in love with him again, was incredibly cheesy, especially the "Silas says" parts. But I liked it nonetheless.
Honestly, I don't see how people are unsatisfied with that ending. You find out why they lost their memories
" we were soul mates. But then external influences ruined us as people and we fell out of love"
AND THEN that epilogue! It wrapped everything up and then with their children forgetting it as well. I just can't even. Sooo damn good!!
"I like to pretend I'm watching things at the sink just so I can see when he pulls into the driveway"
How flipping sweet!
Would I recommend? Yes

So what did you think of it? Were you one of the people who hated the ending? I will admit, it was definitely not what I was expecting, but as a big fan of romance books, I loved it!
