Blurb (Written by Terri): I honestly feel that these books are best to go into without knowing anything at all. I'm assuming that if you're reading this review, you've either already read it, or you haven't read the first one (I could be wrong but that's okay). So I don't want to include the blurb. Basically, the books are romance suspense. Two teenagers who have been best friends since they were young, 'wake up' and they have no idea who they are, where they are or what has happened to them. Their only problem is, they only have 48 hours until it happens again. Does that not sound intriguing??
Review: By now you have probably seen or heard everyone's reviews for part three in this "series". I read the first book last year and decided to wait until the 3rd part was released before I continued and I am so glad that I did. I don't think that the endings of these books are necessarily cliffhangers, but it stops in a place where the story is at a peak, so it's a little awkward if you stopped there.
Anyway, I did enjoy this addition to the series however its definitley no where near as good as the first one. I'm not sure if that is because I forgot everything that happened in the first book, or if it was a bit of a dud. My main issue with Part 2 was the fact that throughout the whole book, nothing really happens. You go into it wanting to get some answers from the first book, but honestly it wasn't long enough and you don't learn anything new. In the last 5 pages you finally get something, but it definitely wasn't a big shocker that blew my mind.
I also feel that as a 'romance' book, there wasn't much romance at all. And there definitely wasn't a lot of time with the two characters together. I think that it would have been much better if the 'big thing' happened earlier in the book, because for a short book there were definitely parts which were a bit boring, with not a lot going on apart from the character driving around different places..
The story was still very engaging, and it kept me reading. These books are really quick reads so if it's something you're interested in, give it a go. I feel like this second installment would be more enjoyable if it were read straight after reading the first one. If you can, read all three in one go (now that the third is out).
Would I recommend? Yes
