College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.
Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist
This is the fourth book in the Off Campus series, which I absolutely love. However I wasn't really anticipating the release for this book. At the end of the third book The Score, you get a preview of what is to come in The Goal which mind you, pretty much spoils the story??? But anyway, after finding out what the 4th book would be about, I decided I wasn't really interesting in reading Tuckers story. But then the book came out, and I thought stuff it, I'll give it a go. And I am so damn glad I did!
I really loved this book, and I loved Tucker and Sabrina even more! I enjoyed getting to see all of the characters from the previous books, but I mainly just enjoyed the story and the developing romance between Tucker and Sabrina.
I feel like the plot itself was quite unique, not in the circumstances but in how it played out if that makes any sense. And to me, it made the story seem much more realistic, all things considered.
What I thought was interesting though, was the fact that the book took place about halfway trough when book 3 took place. So it was really nice to see them overlapping and getting the different perspective of that time.
So overall I absolutely loved this book. I think it might even be my favourite?? Who knows. It is losing .25 as I felt that there was a part in the middle that was a bit boring, but apart from that, I cannot fault it. I would highly recommend this series if you're looking for something quick and entertaining.
