I don't think I need to give an introduction about why I decided to do this tag but I will anyway. So EmmaBooks over on YouTube created this book tag, and I really liked it, so I decided to do it. You can watch the original YouTube video here.
Basically, this tag is a list of "questions" of what books should have had... It's hard to explain but once I start you'll get the idea.
Totally should've gotten a sequel: I found this hard because while most of the books I read are stand-alone novels, I'm fairly happy with how they end. There are two books though that I would just like to see more form the characters and that is...
Totally should've had a spin off series: If you've been paying attention to my blog posts at all in the last 6 months, you can probably guess what I'm going to say. If not, it will be a nice surprise then.
I know this series has a spin off series already (The Heir), but I would love to have a whole series about Marlee. I got to read more about her in The Favourite in the Happily Ever After bind up and I absolutely loved it.
An author who should totally write more books: Stephanie Perkins. Ive read every single book she's written, which isn't hard since she's only written 3+ a short story, but I have loved every single thing by her I cannot wait until she writes something else. Although I've heard it's more of a mystery/thriller so I'm not sure how I feel about that..
A character who totally should have ended up with someone else: Now I'm pretty lucky in the sense that out of all the love triangles I've read, the character always ends up with the person who I want them to. Yay for me! But there is one exception, which probably doesn't technically count but I did not approve and that was Jacob and Renesme. I really did not like Jacob and so I hated the fact that he imprinted on Renesme. Just no. I know that he is to her whatever she needs at the time but still, I don't wike it.
Totally should have ended differently: I wanted to reuse Amy & Roger's Epic Detour because I didn't like how that book just ended. But then I thought of another one:
I read this series when I was in my vampire phase of reading, and I absolutely loved it. It was such an amazing book series. But then Hourglass happened. I don't remember not liking the book, it was just how it ended. it was really weird and I didn't like where the story was going. I never ended up finishing the book although I made my friend read it last year and she finished it. I can't remember what she thought of the last book but it couldn't have been that great because she hasn't convinced me to finish the series :P
Totally should've had a movie franchise: As I've said before I don't read many series', if any. But I think The Selection would make a really good movie series. I know it was bought as a TV show, but then they made one episode and it was so bad that they gave up on that idea, so I hope they follow through with the movie and actually do the story justice. But let's face it, they probably won't.
Totally should've had a TV series:
Beautiful Bastard which is a series of companion novels (which means they all relate to each other but have different characters) has been auctioned as a movie, but I don't like that idea. I think as a TV series it will be able to show all of the characters rather than just the couple from Beautiful Bastard.
The Crossfire series is also amazing. I feel like it would be the non vampire True Blood and the better version of Fifty Shades of Grey. Its an amazing storyline, I have no idea why the people who make TV series happen haven't jumped on this yet.
Totally should've had only one point of view: Hands down, Breaking Dawn. Why would they even chuck in Jacob's point of view? I honestly think that ruined it for me. i couldn't give two craps about Jacob. I'm pretty sure I skimmed over all of his sections too. Was not impressed with that. Especially since it was like a whole third of the book from his point of view.
Totally should have a cover change: This was hard to think of some since most of the books I read, I like the covers of because I'm a total cover judger. But then I thought of a couple and once I started I couldn't stop!
Apart from The Crown and No More Confessions, I have read all of these and they are all amazing stories. But if I had of judged them by their covers, I never would have picked these up. They need to change. And with The Crown, it is pretty but that dress is just ew, like what is happening at the top? I looks like it's about to fall off of her. And we have already had a purple cover! With No More Confessions I just really don't like it. The hair, all the blank space? just no. It's also too similar to the first book in the series and I don't wike it.
Totally should've kept the original covers: not a lot of my books have had cover changes, but there are a few...
Totally should have stopped at book one:
Well that is the end of this tag. Thanks for reading to the end! I wasn't sure if I should TAG anyone or not since it's not actually a YouTube video, but I would like to tag Elle Biblio and Bookworm Boutique to do this tag on their blogs. I'd really love to see what you guys come up with!
That's all I have to say about that,
